Richard Garriott is a British-born American video game developer, entrepreneur and space tourist, born on 4 July 1961. He is the creator of the Ultima games and the son of NASA astronaut Owen Garriott. In October 2008 he flew to the International Space Station as a private astronaut on Soyuz TMA-13, returning 12 days later on Soyuz TMA-12. That made him the second space traveller, and the first from the United States, to have a parent who also flew in space. During the flight he filmed a science-fiction movie, Apogee of Fear. Wikidata records 11 days and 20 hours in space.
