Crew Dragon

Crew Dragon is the crew version of SpaceX’s Dragon 2 spacecraft. It carries up to four people in a reusable capsule with an expendable trunk, launches on a Falcon 9 and returns by splashing down in the ocean. Under NASA’s Commercial Crew Program it took over crew transport to the International Space Station, a job the Space Shuttle did until 2011. It also flies private missions. Station crew rotations such as Crew-6, Crew-12 and Crew-13 all use it. Jessica Watkins became the first NASA astronaut to fly on a Crew Dragon twice, on Crew-4 and Crew-13.
